Contact Me

I love to hear from READERS!  Email me at . I always try to answer, but sometimes it takes a few days . . . uh, weeks. If you send me a mean email or tell me how my blog is fabulous and it’s apparent you’ve never read a word, or you are from a foreign country and want a date, I will not write back. However, at my age, I do appreciate the date offer.

If you are a PUBLICATION and want me to write an article and pay me, please email, too. Yes, I’ve got clips. Some are a little out of date because of this blogging gig, but I do have a magazine journalism degree from a real school back when people got print journalism degrees and I’ve published two healthcare/parenting books. I even have a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing and have been polishing my fiction skills for the last five years–although every word in this blog is absolutely true. I bet my wheat-filled cookies on it!

If you see mistakes in this blog, I blame it on being “gluten-ed” or “soy-ed” at the time of writing . . . or I may have been on my third glass of wine. Hey, it’s not like this is a real job!

COMPANIES who want me to review their allergy-friendly food and books and alcoholic beverages can ask me for my address. However, remember I’m an allergic foodie with celiac disease.  That means I have other allergies in addition to gluten. However, if you want to send gf-only food to my celiac son in college, he’ll be most appreciative. He will not, however, write about your product–I barely get texts from him!

Just because you mailed me something doesn’t guarantee a blog post. Your chances will increase if:

1. Your product doesn’t make me sick.

2. Your product tastes good (unless your product is a book, then the taste test is waived).

3. Your product will benefit my readers.

4. You offer to run a giveaway, driving thousands of readers to my blog.

4. Your product doesn’t have anything to do with erectile dysfunction–this is a family blog after all!

COMPANIES WHO SPONSOR my blog will be guaranteed a blog post, maybe even two or three, and a coveted spot on my blog’s sidebar. You’ll probably show up on my Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and Tumblr accounts. Your product is GUARANTEED to reach a targeted market of families with food restrictions–as well as that one guy from India who keeps telling me I’m pretty. Has he seen my Gravatar? It’s a lemon!

An Allergic Foodie has high standards regarding SPONSORSHIP: You must be a company I trust, a product I believe in, and you must pay in cash. Unless, of course, you want to send me to Italy to teach an allergy-friendly cooking class–then forget standards!

I look forward to hearing from you!
